Marion County Dental Hygiene Study Club is a non-profit organization that works to provide continuing education credits to Salem area dental hygienists.

It is our goal to provide a minimum of 12-16 CE hours per year in dental hygiene related topics. We meet 6 times per year at the Howerton, Hopkin, Kennedy, and Clark (HHHK) office on 2266 Mission Street SE Salem, Oregon 97302. Please visit our calendar page for date/time/topics.

To meet the Oregon Board of Dentistry's bi-annual dental hygiene licensure renewel requirements, we strive to provide 3 hours of CE in Medical Emergencies, 1 hour of Nitrous Oxide, or other related content, to meet the Nitrous Oxide requirement, 2 hours of Infection Control, and 2 hours of Cultural Competency. Each of these 4 classes will be offered once every 2 years. (The study club maintains record for inquiries made by the Oregon Board of Dentistry only. It is up to each individual to track their CE hours for their renewal.)

Since our membership is limited, members are expected to attend as many meetings as possible. If you cannot attend the majority of meetings, please consider attending drop-in classes so that other hygienists may have the opportunity to join.

Our organization is volunteer operated.  All of our members are expected to serve in a volunteer position once every 6 years, as either a board member or chairperson. If no members volunteer for open positions, members who have not served in the previous 6 years will be called to serve by the President.
